The BVFD is an all volunteer department, with over 30 members, including 3 female firefighters. (No, ladies, firefighting is not just for the guys anymore).

So, why volunteer? The fact is that colleges and employers alike want to see what you do with your spare time. Volunteering sends the message that you care enough about something to do it for free.
