At approximately 1:10 p.m. Blacksburg Fire Department responded to Lenzer circle ball field per the request of EMS to establish a landing Zone for regional one.

Upon arrival at the ball field, Engine 93 established Landing Zone command and coordinated with the inbound Regional One medical helicopter for a safe landing Zone.

The patient was securely packaged and transferred to the helicopter. Regional One then made it safe to take off and transported the patient to the hospital. Blacksburg Fire Department personnel cleared the landing Zone at 1:45 p.m.
